I'm not familiar with Ilford Pan 400, though I have used plenty of HP5+,
Ilford's current 400 asa non delta grained b/w film. Is this the film you
write of?
A lot of people would prefer HP5+ to TMax 400, I suspect fewer would choose
the TMax over HP5+, for myself I regard the picture as most important and
buy whichever I can find more cheaply...
