Why does everyone take for granted that Leicas (in particular the R8) are
100% German just because final assembly is in Solms?  Hypothetically,
would it be so difficult to believe that it is equally plausible for
Leica to market products assembled in Solms of cost-saving Asian
components, thus appeasing buyers by a "Made in Germany" stamp; rather
than assemble German parts off-shore and sell less of them due to
hysterical customer prejudice?
