Don't bet on it not happening. Sooner or later the CEO or some other on
high being will not be happy with their "right amount of compensation" and
will order the bean counters to count beans and cut!

Given the world economy and the "bottomline syndrome", cutitis of staff as
well as everything else ( a very wrong move in many cases) economics will
eventually catch-up to Leica one more time.

We've seen them go through a few monatary things and top end people changes
over the past decade, so I'm not going to be surprised when the "bean
counters get to the cutting numbers one more time!"  Although I doubt Leica
would ever fold simply becasue there are still a great number of users and
owners.

If anything they really need a much better marketing strategy more than
anything else.  IMHO.
