Sandy,

Thanks for the input. I will ask for Mr Posner the next time I am in B+ACY-H
which will probably be in the next few days. All the sales people there have
always been very helpful and informative so it is really hard for my to
really complain a great deal. Over the years I have purchased a decent
amount of equipment, film etc. from them and I will continue to do so. In
fact, dare I mention, I just bought a 105mm macro Nikon lens for my N90S.
But, my son just bought me Leica binoculars as a present there.

+AD4-Better yet, track down Henry Posner, the customer service manager at B+ACY-H,
(or
+AD4-e-mail him+ADs- he's very prompt in responding) relate the incident, and let
him
+AD4-know that his sales reps need more training regarding Leica equipment. He
+AD4-personally monitors several photo lists, and is most concerned with
insuring
+AD4-customer satisfaction and accuracy of information being delivered by his
sales
+AD4-personnel. I've been impressed with the manner in which he follows through
+AD4-whenever customers have suggestions regarding improvement of B+ACY-H service.

+AD4-
+AD4APg- The sales clerk at B+ACY-H, who was quite helpful, told me that I
+AD4APg- +AD4-didn't need a circular filter for my R4. I had just read in the Bove
manual
+AD4APg- +AD4-that was the one to use for the R4. I got confused and ended up buying
+AD4APg- +AD4-neither. The sales clerk said that the circular filters are only needed
for
+AD4APg- +AD4-auto focus cameras.
+AD4APg- +AD4-
+AD4APg- +AD4-Who is correct, Bove or the sales clerk?+AD4APgA+AD4APgA+-
+AD4APg-
+AD4APg- Hi Peter,
+AD4APg-
+AD4APg- if it's convenient I'd return to the store, find the manager and the
clerk
+AD4APg- and exlain to them they are misleading their customers and potential new
+AD4APg- ones.
