Hi Tom,

Given that we who have known him over the years have learned so much about
Leica glass from Erwin, it's always unfortunate that some character, not
you Tom, an earlier poster, has to come along and yap for his credentials
instead of going back into the archives and reading his excellent lens
information reports.

What he does, isn't using a lens, making a few happy snaps and comparing
with a few happy snaps from another manufacturer, it's all done very
meticulously and with the right measuring equipment and experience to make
it as accurate as possible.

I don't have a problem with anyone asking for "credentials." What I do have
a problem with "is the way they ask!"

Some lug members know how in a polite and courteous manner, others sound
like they just haven't got the manners of a noodnik! No, no, please don't
ask what a noodnik is,:) because I will be terribly impolite trying to
explain your complete stupidity for asking the question. Be kind now I'm
getting really old!:)

Back to the topic at hand... For those who wish to know what Erwin is all
about please go into the archives before you get back on line and read his
excellent reports first. Then you may find this man really knows what he is
talking about.

These are not the reports of someone who is fudging numbers, facts and
results! These are the results of extensive and exhausting testing by
someone who knows what the hell they are talking about and doing.

Quite frankly if I were Erwin, I'd tell the original poster to go screw
himself very politely!
