I think ,Andrew, that two general MF camera types can be adapted to serve
the purpose: Rolleiflex SL66 & Corfield WA. I shall focus mainly on the
SL,whom I worked with a lot.
1.-it has a curtain - shutter;1/1000s
2.-it is adaptable to a wide variety of lenses, which include all large -
format lenses whose rear element does not exceede 58mm in width. Also, all
Kiev & Bronica EC lenses;(only the lenses with aperture ring mounted in
front.
3.-SL is a reflex camera,so it's mirror could be in the way.

Corfield, Mamiya super 23, and simmilar cameras do not have the mirror, thus
the rear lens element can be brought closer to the film.

Personally,I have never went ahead with something so radical.I have
overstretched myself investing in Leitz & Zeiss optics, because some
people tend to see (and pay for) the difference they bring. The image
quality of Leicas does not come only from the lenses.Just remember the 2nd
most important part - the preassure plate.

I would do one of the following:

1.- Make a major move toward LARGE FORMAT,
2.- Do something really radical,like bying a Kiev + 30mm fisheye.
3.- HOW DOES A SUPER ANGULON 21/3.4 SOUND LIKE?

BTW,are there any LUG members in Israel?

And last but not least, can you, good folks, recommend me a good agency?
I have a plenty on the Kosovo crisis & consequences in B&W,mainly the
refugees...
