Pascal: Well it's always better to test first. There may be several things
with this set up. Most of the time when your in the program mode the camera
will default to the 1/250 sec shutter speed and if your lighting a large
area then the small out put of this unit will not do the job. For this
reason I usually use the camera on "M" and try to use the flash to fill with
the daylight or room light acting as the main light, in a lot of cases this
will require a tripod or mono pod or the table top. The other thing that
comes to mind is the +/- EV control on the bottom of the unit. Was this
turned on or off and if on was it in the neutral setting? Did you have the
unit set to the mm of the lens or wider? I've been using this light
(40MZ-3i) for about months and find that it is really a good unit and does
the job. But again I find that I need to mix the available light with the
strobe for the best results and this is often at 1/30 sec or slower. I've
not shot any chromes , all hs been color negative and the results are very
good with great color and density.
