The article in question in VIEWFINDER was a bogus one and, bluntly, an
insult to Erwin. The second-generation 2/50 is, certainly, a decent lens
but, optically, it is surpassed by the third-generation version. (In my
user's opinion, it is the weakest Summicron yet sold, but Erwin seems to
feel that the collapsible 2/50 and the rigid/DR first-generation lens are
slightly poorer in overall performance.)
