Folks,

Being of sound mind & body; I though I'd share
a recent experience with a Leica lens.

I just made one of my bi-annual sojourns to a Leica
dealer ( 120 miles one-way ) to trade in my 24mm
f2.8. I was up there for other reasons as well.

I've had this little gem ( some would say; a lessor of
the breed ) for about 10 years. The 24 is one of my
favorite focal lengths. I did experience some "pangs"
of regret at the thought of giving it up ;-)!

In any case, as I'm handing it over for inspection; the
dealer tries to move the focus ring....and it barely moves to the
left....and continues to manifest this property for several
hours. I'm astounded; it's never does this before. Really ;-)!

I make the long trip home, somewhat happy to have kept it;
unhappy that I'll have to repair it......negative cash flow :-( !

Once home, I put it back on my R7, just to try it one last time;
well, much to my surprise, the focus ring moves smoothly
back & forth....and continues to do so ;-) Go figure!

Now, do I believe my Leica gear is imbued with a special
"life force"; you're darn right...being of sound mind & body ;-)!
