Mike, isn't the only difference between the Black Paint M6 and the LHSA M6
the film advance and the rewind?  It seems to me that this would still
handle pretty much just like the M6 TTL.  Now if they had changed the RF to
the M3 (or even the M4) design RF/VF and changed the shutter speed back to
the "classic" size and operation, then I would agree with you (shoot, I
might even break my long standing tradition and actually buy a new piece of
Leica equipment if that were the case) .  But as it stands, both the Black
Paint M6 & LHSA M6 seem to have almost everything in common besides the
advance and rewind.

And don't sell those 40 year old M's short!   My DS M3 (45 years old this
year) is still running strong, and it has never failed me in the 18 years I
have owned it (and I'm not gentle with my equipment).
