Mike,

The "BJP" _is_ the oldest professional weekly magazine in the world... its
launch date escapes me but it has to be at least 125 years ago. There's also
an amateur weekly magazine in the UK called "Amateur Photographer" which was
first published in 1884... so both weeklies are hanging in there!
