Alas-
After many machinations, I have succumbed to the Mystic Charms of an M6 (and
an M4 as well, since I like basic cameras!) and have now had some real hands
on experience with loading them.

My only question is, "What's all the fuss about?"

I was truly amazed at how little effort is necessary to load the buggers! I
sometimes futz loading the SL, had some hits and misses with the M3, a few
epiphnies with the LTMs, but the M6 seems as easy to load as one of
those )(#*^%)# APS cameras!

I am surprised that other camera manufacturers have not co-opted the M6
loading system before now!

If you do have problems- I suggest you take a couple of rolls of that
useless Seattle Filmworks film that someone gave you, sit down in a
comfortable shair, preferably with a snifter of single malt at your elbow,
and practice. Like loading the spiral wire reels, it takes a little
practice.
I remember practicing both the reels and loading the cameras while watching
TV so that after a while it was almost automatic, and I didn't have to look
at my hands!

John's reply tells it all! If he's loaded several hundred rolls since
August- he's had a lot of practice!!!
Dan- once more, out of the lurker closet
