Trolling for responses?

I once borrowed a new G1 with 45mm lens and found it could not lock
focus on some sunlit buildings at infinity. The buildings were not
moving at the time. Fortunately, the photographer is spared from many
inpromptu bokeh tests because the camera won't fire; this ensures
perfectly-focused moment-after-the-decisive-moment photographs.
