Someone will want to correct me if I'm wrong, but:

Simply keep the lens set at its maximum opening if it is in direct sun
between shots;
and/or

Try to carry the camera in such a way that you don't have direct sun
striking the lens...

Could someone comment on how important it is to keep a lens cap on the
lens while carrying an M6 over the shoulder on a bright day.  Is it
necessary to cover the lens after every shot to protect the shutter
curtains? Thanks David
