Look at a store-bought roll of film, and you will see what a "short clip" is. Kodak et al adopted this in 1973 or thereabouts in place of the old "long leader". LTM cameras require a leader of approximately three or four inches. I clip by eye and have never had a problem. I simply don't see what the problem is for others, but it does seem to be a block to a lot of folks. Almost all Postwar LTM cameras have a little chart inside the camera on the bottom showing how to clip the film, and Leica, and others, sold templates. (I may have one for sale in my miscellaneous pile of stuff, incidentally.) Marc msmall@roanoke.infi.net FAX: +540/343-7315 Cha robh bas fir gun ghras fir!
