Like Mark, my daughter and I use Xtol at 1:3 for the acutance and non
blocking properties. We use mainly Tri-X and even though we use a 25x grain
focuser, focusing is better done on an edge rather than a smooth area as
visible grain is an elusive commodity. Even at 16x20.
