On the other hand, using the same common sense you would use in any other city will provide adequate prophylaxis. Don't cross the Mayor, though. Naturally, I want to bring a subset of my Leica stuff and prowl Manhattan with my M6 (given the high current value of the dollar, shopping is not interesting, although I may pay a visit to Tamarkin).
