I think you are American but I understand the Japanese consider marriage to be a
VERY solemn ceremony.
Regardless the tales of photographers stopping the bride and groom as thet go
down the aisle are giving many people that opinion.
They are not fond of the ideal of having their weddings ruined.
Now however there is no point in hiring a photographer with tact. The family
will blitz you with flashes at every turn.
I saw a bride reduced to tears because the family would not stop flashing.
Try to stop them! it is not easy!
I blame the Sure shot. Before that people did not care about their cameras.
People just don't have enough opportunities to play with their little cameras.
Weddings are "lets play with our cameras" occasions.
