A lot of people malign this book but this book convinced me to buy a Leica. It has short reviews of most leses, cameras and accessories, tables showing lens/body compatibility and when designs changed (no small things) and great photographs. There is a second edition with the R* but I like the earlier one better. B.-Diary of a Century, J.H. Lartigue, Viking Press, 1970, SBN 670-27218-3, Library of Congress no. 74-101776. An amazing photographic history of the 20th Century (through 1970) and biography. One of the greats. C-The Nature Photographer's Complete Guide to Professional Field Techniques, John Shaw, Amphoto, 1984, ISBN 0-8174-5006-8.
