Sorry Jeff... my reply to you was an obvious brain fart! I am old enough
and seen enough that I am no longer silent when I see (and know) that
something is crap. Most of us recognize crap but many are duped into
thinking (pretending) that it is worthy of some stature.

In art, it seems it is who you know, not what you can do. I have been to
the premier openings of numerous artists(?), which were people that I knew
reasonably well, and when I heard the art promoter's spiel and read the
literature about the artist, I was sure they were talking about someone
else. It sure wasn't the person I knew!

It is amazing how people can be buffaloed.
