Could you explain what you mean by the "whole image will shift". It sounds
like you are saying that the complete viewfinder image (not just the
superimposed rangefinder patch) will move while the camera is not. This
could only happen if the viewfinder assembly had loosened in its mounting or
some part of the viewfinder has come adrift. I have never heard of this
before but it sounds like: Warranty Time!
