Very Simple
The dual cams and rotating ring are way expensive to make and
take lots of time to adjust. Shims often have to be used under the cams
to adjust overall height and rise. A lot of work for an obsolete
coupling system. A funny thing occurred to me. Considering that
there is definitely enough space inside an SL, it might be easier
to convert the body over to rotary coupling!
Finding someone who will do it for less than an R8 would cost
is another matter. But it's not a bad idea! Is it..
