Hi Bob,

The point is being missed, as it isn't relevant whether the battery in
or not will fire the flash! Or how the camera was designed.

The point is...............  If you're using any camera equipment
requiring a battery for any or all functions :
......NEVER LEAVE HOME OR ANY OTHER PLACE WITHOUT A SPARE BATTERY!" 

I'm not yelling at anyone, I'm just trying to get a very simple bit if
common sense logic through to some folks who still don't get the message
about "battery functioning and using cameras!"

It's  basic common sense of using any camera, regardless of manufacture!

A/   camera needs battery to make flash work!  says so in book!
B/   no battery?
C/   camera works, flash don't
D/   carry extra battery 
E/    battery dies
F/    replace battery
G/    flash works!
H/    COOL!

Heavens this is an absolute no brainer and I can't for the life of me
understand was so difficult about the whole thing.
