The plastic tip on the shutter lever is secured by a small screw. Turn the
camera upside down and flip the shutter lever out...there it is. It is not
unusual for the screw to loosen and scratch the top plate. Also the bezel
around the shutter release holds the shutter lever on so check to see if it
is loose.
