John Schick,

The assumption stated above, that there are no genuine raciest or
ethnic hatred in our group is unwarrented from the evidence at hand.
It's wishful and dangerous thinking . . .
(snip)=======================================================================
John,

Hatred is a strong word, which I used deliberately in my posting
because that was the notion that seemed to be upsetting Paul. I meant
to say that I hadn't seen any evidence of racial hatred in the LUG
postings on this thread. I'm forced to agree, however, that doesn't
mean that there isn't any; on reflection, my words were naïve on that
point.

IMHO, the problem in this and similar threads is that, although the
prejuduce and skepticism cannot be overcome by logical argument, people
try, nevertheless, to convince the skeptics that they are wrong. Why
bother? It only leads to escalation and strong words, which can then be
interpreted, all too easily, as hatred. It's like teasing a dog until
he bites and then blaming him for it.

Regards,

=====
