The very worst thing you can possibly do with spam is to let the

Sorry, Brian, that wasn't what I meant. I should have said: "The
administrator and members of the Olympus list steadfastly ignored all
exhortations to reply to the spam" i.e. they ignored the spam.

My use of the passive case instead of the active case caused confusion
and I should have known better. This is the kind of thing up with which
the LUG should not put! I will graciously accept all flames on this
subject :-)
