Sam,
I'd call Leica UK, 01908 666663, but I dare say you'll not live in the UK.
I expect the Leica USA tel. number/s would be on the web site, and so it is:
http://www.leica-camera.com/unternehmen/international/usa/contact/index_e.html
Leica Camera Inc.
156 Ludlow Avenue
Northvale, NJ 07647
Phone: (800) 222-0118
(201) 767-7500
Fax: (201) 767-8666

regards,
Jem

Dan,

I don't think it is an element shift issue. The way I am checking is by
taking a .5inch x 3inch piece of glass that is rubber banded to the outside
of the lens. The glass is laying flat against the outside of the lens. The
laser sits on the base board and is reflected off a piece of paper on the
little piece of glass.

I already dropped Leica an email. Do you know where exactly I should call?
