Subject: Re: [Leica] My 50 Summicron focuses past infinity

Tristan,

I'm using an M3 DS with different screwmount lenses and the double images
are all slightly different when focused at infinity (i.e.
I see a REAL double image not only a slightly blurred image.)

I adjusted the rangefinder for my fastest lens (2/5cm Summitar) until I saw
a clear image when focused at infinity. The adjustment does not exactly fit
the other two lenses - I clearly see two images (4/9cm Elmar and 2.8/3.5cm
Rodenstock). However, the pictures appear o be sharp, even when I shoot
'wide open' (-;.

Cheers,

Jan
