Speaking of filters ;)

I was at a ex-co-workers' going away party.. they made me one of those
margaritas.. you know, the ones that fill a pint beer glass ;) .. Well I
grabbed my Leica with 35, by the hood (mistake) accidently pushing the 2
release buttons... causing my precious leica to fall (2.5 feet) onto a
carpeted floor. It landed on the filter and bent the ring. After wrenching
it off, I examined the lens .. (its amazing how sobering it is to drop
your precious camera!) and there was no damage to the camera or the lens.
(the rangefinder was completely intact.)

So, the point you might be asking... is Id rather replace a $30.00 filter,
then a 1500.00 lens. :)
