What an off beat question......
Photar lenses are high corrected close-up lenses designed to work with a
bellows.
To work with your SRT-101 you will have to either adapt a Leica Bellows
R to fit the Minolta or have the separate Photar to R-mount flange adapted
to a Minolta Mount. Either way is more costly than the camera is worth.
As to the Telyt-S lens, the only Telyt-S (for Special) is the 800mm
f/6.3. When Leica introduced the lens, it was during the active period of
the Leitz/Minolta cooperation. FYI- This cooperation resulted in the R3, the
16mm, 24mm and 80-200mm zoom lenses for Leica.
The oddest part of the agreement was that Leica would offer it's 800mm
Telyt-S in a Minolta mount at a cost of somewhere over $12,000.00 and
Minolta would offer their 800mm f/8 RF-Rokkor lens in a R-mount at a cost of
about $2,000.00. The Minolta lens was a catadioptic or mirror lens. All
this was started in 1972.
