Yes, he is. A few years ago, I saw an interview where he shot mostly
T-Max 400 with a small set of primes and R6.2 cameras. Since then, I've
also heard reports of Tri-X in Ms. I have a 1999 promotional booklet
from Leitz "Leica. The Program." (As in "get with the program?")
featuring two of his photographs in which he is pictured and quoted as
endorsing the R6.2.
I saw an exhibit a few years ago that may have been one of the best
exhibits I've ever seen.  My only complaint was that the photographs
were enlarged so much they became posters instead of prints.
I love his work.
