The difference is under the flap.
There is a zipper on the #240 to close the main compartment.
And an oval-shaped "always open" opening on the #232.

I choose the latest because I found it faster for photographic purpose.
And the normal Billingham Hadley insert fit it exactly.
With the #240, I think you will need the biggest Hadley insert.

The main difference with the Billingham is the "Oil Finish".
A little bit sticky at the beginning.
