Hi Logan,

I agree with you.  I don't like the built-in hood.  (The lens is great.)  I
am using the hood designed for the 50/2.8 Elmar.  It's a screw type.  Part
No. 12550.  Available from Leica.  It works fine.

Hi,

Is that possible to put any (Click and not screw-in) hood, e.g. the
12585 (vented hood) on the latest 50 f2 with build-in hood?
I just hate that kind of hood.

If not what are the optional screw-in hood ruber or metal brand?
