Tina, I'm in the same boat your are, knee-wise, and it mostly angers me that I can't
jump down and get those low-angle shots. Three CLA's on the right knee and one on
the left have finally maxed out the work they can do with existing materials, and so
far they are not making new cartilage for knees. There are experiments underway
(grow yer own . . . )

My doctor says we could go for the shots, but they are (a) expensive, and (b) not a
final answer for this particular situation.

He says the next time he goes in, I should be looking at something nice in titanium
or other suitable finish. I have a friend, a retired football coach for the
Northwestern State Demons who had both knees replaced about four years ago. The man
could barely walk before, and now he goes fishing everyday but Sunday. He launches
his bass boat in the river right downtown, and fishes by himself most of the time.
He's about 70. He swears by his new knees.

I dunno, I run into problems after about two miles of walking, and go limping along.
I hate that, because I usta be good for about ten miles. I've tried several kinds
of fancy meds, but Tylenol Arthritis or Advil seems to work as well as anything, just
like Doc Mark sez. Maybe I should look into those hinged Leica accessories. Metal
knees, just like my Leicas, they will outlast me.

Geri-Leically,

Sonny
