I know you're kidding but as you're mentioning it every print I make I
go over with a high powered OptiVISOR magnification headgear thing to
aid me in spotting the prints which will tend to be 11x14's. I end up at
this point really seeing my grain pattern how it's holding together from
corner to corner and getting a much more excruciating feel for what my
optics and films are up too.

I do have a "friend" who loves AF as he is too vain to wear glasses. I'm
not at all sure how common this is all I know from doing portrait work
is that men are more vain by far then women.

He'll have a stack of prints he has made up and on one he'll miss his focus.
His subject is way out of focus but the background is tact sharp.
And i have to bring this to his attention (with my naked eye) as he is
too blind to see his own prints!

And then at the Salgado show there is was again. A very embarrassing and
dumb deal. A guy who can not see the prints and who thinks he is into photography.
