This is infact caused by what I call founding fatherism
or framerism for short. It's what happens when a group
of _____  get together to write a constitution with
a view towards making it sound more like a gospel so that later
generations of legal zealots can run around preaching their 
own interpretation of what the founders meant. It's very silly
when you think about it and it's what makes the US constitution 
unexportable thankfully.
