I cannot claim to have shot chromes with my Nikon 60 2.8 AF D, but flare has
certainly not been a problem, nor has image quality when shooting B&W.

except for color quality and flare.  I have both the 55mm f/2.8 micro-nikkor
and the 60mm macro-elmarit-R and I prefer the look of the chromes made with
the Leica lens.
