It's already happening, My college's first digital class used Sony digital
camera that used a 2.5" floppy disk & Apple formatted Syquest 44mb disk
drives in the early '90s. The cutting edge photo stores that had digital
setups then have moved on to the latest h/ware; Syquest is out of business
so how do I transfer the images from that old drive to media today?
Luckily, I have a few prints but there was a lot of work on drive. That's a
10yr span.

For many of us, digital is a God send, I hate the 'wet dkroom', the fumes
causes me illness; but I love the prints I make
and know they'll be around, (my great nephew was just born! in a year or two
he'll see his father's 21 years old baby pics!) but just a few prints of my
digital stuff. What a mixed blessing!
