Ted,

You don't say whether it is APX 100 or APX 400.

The 400 I have no experience with, but the 100 is, in medium format, 
closest in my experience to Verichrome Pan. It is an "old technology" film 
and is full of subtle midrange tones with lots midrange "guts". In 35mm, I 
suppose my closest match would be Ilford FP4+.

I don't know anything about the RSX.
