The RSX stuff is slide film Ted and you and everyone at the Portland
October Leica Historical Society meeting will get a roll for free as you
walk in the door at the registration table. With a roll of Kodak and
Fuji films but those both might be color neg Films.

But the Agfa slide film is to be projected Saturday for a workshop
critique by a panel of experts. (Ted?)
Apparently Agfa Germany and Leica Germany have a good relationship.
This was lined up quickly and easily they all speak the same language
over there i think.

I'm not sure if we're getting the 50, 100, or 200. I hear the 50 is
great stuff but i think we need something at least as fast as 100.

IN effect we've got close to 200 people all testing the RSX film and all
with Leica gear.
(I cant say Leica glass because Ed will have Canon glass on his screwmount)
I'm sure many will be interested in the results as most seem to use Fuji
and Kodak in that order.
...and will be interested to see where Agfa's at now. I'm sure they've
progressed right along!

Also Agfapan Black and white films have always held a high respect but
now the 25 is gone leaving us only the 100 and 400.
This films have a "look" and tonality which really is different from
Kodak and Ilford and that's a main reason people use them.
They are smooth and creamy like Jiffy peanut butter.
"Straight line" perhaps.
But have tended to be just a bit on the grainy side.
Agfapan 100 in Rodinal is grainer than Tri X in D76 1:1!
But i anticipate Xtol to take the grain problem right out of there. ..
and have it be grainless and sharp both.
I hope to find out soon. I'd be amazed if I'm wrong.

I think a great many photographers who have tried Agfapan black and
white films and gone back or on to something else have done so because
of the strangely long development times. If they were running it
themselves that is.
Amazingly long like close to twice as long. And our patience runs out as
we near 20 minutes i think.

If you had a Jobo you'd set it and forget it go have lunch, mow the
lawn, no problem.

I don't got no Jobo.

Another interesting thing about Agfapan is it is cheep. Way cheaper than
the Delta or Neopan or certainly T Max.
Says "Made in Germany" right on every box and cheap. Figure that out! I can't!
I thought the Mark was expensive!
