Despite the similarities, they really feel different.
- -Minilux is heavy, solid, substantial, metallic feeling but has limited
35-70 zoom.
Shutter speeds from 1 sec to 1/250, plus B and T.
- -C1 is smaller, lighter, noisier, is plastic covered with a thin
metallic layer, but has 35-105 zoom.
Shutter speeds from 1.7sec to 1/500 plus B and T.
Of course, being all auto, you can't set the speeds yourself on either
one.
I think if you are looking for a P&S that's light and compact, the C1 is
the way to go, Minilux seems expensive for its features, though the lens
may be better. Demo C1's are always available on ebay for $220 "buy it
now" with 3 month Leica warranty. I got one and it's like new. Minilux
zooms run $600.
Hope this helps
Phil
