I am sure that this is part of it, IF the price increase is only in North
America. But if the price also increases in Europe, then it is probably more a
case of the M7 selling above expectations and Leica wishing to milk the market a
bit. It is called capitalism and there is nothing wrong or unethical about it.
We are not talking about Aids drugs here, just a nice luxurious camera. Keep
things in perspective. Anyway, isn't the current list price in the US something
like $2395? In which case the increase to $2500 is about 4%, hardly
earth-shattering.
