The exhibit provided some interesting new items and news.

Hasselblad was not present.

Olympus is following the digital trend and will introduce an
interchangeable-lens reflex body soon.

Leica had very little to show and generated only mild interest among the
public.
I did make contact with Leica's VP of operations who asked for ClearSight
samples.

Canon had one of the largest displays complete with the awesome EOS 1Ds.
(They were very eager to downplay the importance of the Kodak competing
camera).

The Kodak display was next in size. I secured two rolls of the new E-100 G
film. I look forward to seing the results.

Fuji had sample results of the new Velvia and Superia 100. NO fribies.
Their 6x7 and 6x9 rangefinder cameras have been discontinued.

At the teacher's conference Ilford gave away samples of their Delta 3200 Pro
and ink jet papers.

The only LUGer I met was Ken Lassiter. Ken is the executive secretary of
Photo Imaging Education Association.
Ken coordinated the PIEA teacher's conferences on Saturday and showed travel
slides worthy of Leica quality and professional vision.
