Having owned, used and repaired TA's RW and 1960's Leicavit I will say the
only relationship is that they both replace the standard Leica M baseplate
and both designs advance the film; however, only one works reliably and can
be user repaired if necessary. Am I looking forward to an overpriced
untried replacement....no way. Maybe Leica can place a Red Dot on the new
edition and write the logo in script...that should improve something.

I do not care who drives what or who looked at a previous product to make
their version(it might be interesting to see what Leica may have learned
from Tom's design), when using the product I want it to work and when buying
it I want to pay less.

With respect to all

Happy snaps,
Steven Alexander
