I have tried all three of theses films and in my opinion the Portra 400
BW is without doubt the best as it gives (IMHO) a better contrast range
without any base colour when scanned on the colour settings and printed
as such, or converted to greyscale. I did try XP2 and did not like ti at
all, having had problems with exposure and greyscale. Currently I am
working my way through Tmax 400CN because I have a stock of it, and I
will then go to the Portra. A ot of the work on my web site is shot on
400CN.

Regards

Gerry
