Gary,

The humidity is not too bad here, nothing like New Orleans, but the heat
does arrive, and is now here.  Like many places, Louisiana is best
appreciated by the inland towns and villages.  I do love New Orleans, and
lived there for thirty years, but something about this lovely place keeps me
tacked down here, and I try to share that.

As for the food, yes, we do eat well in Louisiana, as my stature shows, but
I could hardly turn down the fresh blueberry pie with home-made crust  by my
favorite Danish pastry.  Blueberries, after all are quite healthful.
