Like many places, Louisiana is best appreciated by the inland towns and villages. I do love New Orleans, and lived there for thirty years, but something about this lovely place keeps me tacked down here, and I try to share that. As for the food, yes, we do eat well in Louisiana, as my stature shows, but I could hardly turn down the fresh blueberry pie with home-made crust by my favorite Danish pastry. Blueberries, after all are quite healthful.
