Thanks for the comments. I did use the saturation control on PAW 37, but
did not want to go to far with my first attempt with the PS Elements
software. I agree on not increasing the sharpness as I have never had any
luck using Paint Shop Pro, as the artifacts seem to really mess up the
image. I may try increasing the contrast a bit and maybe more saturation
to get a bit more snap into the image.

The PAW 38 I did today during my Lunch hour, and did not use any
saturation, but it certainly could use some to brighten it up a bit.

They look a bit soft and low in contrast. Some of that can be remedied in
PS, but trying to sharpen it would likely end up in artifacts that detract
from the subjects. Maybe a bit of saturation would relieve the flatness.

I bought a new scanner a week ago, a Epson 3170 flat bed, unfortunately I
could not convince the wife I needed a film only scanner so this is what we
ended up with. The scans are from the negatives and not to bad compared to
the Kodak CD's I've been getting. It came with PS Elements and these are
my
first attempts using the combination. I would like some comments from you
PS guru's as to how I can improve my adjustments. I've kept the effort to
just adjusting the levels to balance the colors and saturation on these
only, as I'm not that familiar with the software yet.

These were taken at the Amana Colonies Renaissance Fair recently.
