Gene, you might want to use the histogram in the contrast and brightness
control. Setting the black and white points may give you better control.
Coming from many years of wet darkroom work I found Tim Daly's book "The
Digital Printing Handbook" very useful. He talks in photographer" terms and
I did not have to become a computer expert to get a decent print! Bill
