That presupposes that Kodachrome can be processed after discontinuance. By
the time K64 and 200 march off into oblivion, how long will it be until the
last lab shuts down its k-14 operations?

I have greater faith that 8x10 will be around for a while, given the
relative number of 8x10 cameras and devotees in circulation. The number of
films for that format may shrink as digital claims a great share of the
market, and prices and availability may become troublesome, but it should
still be with us for some time.

Ruben:

No one... no one! is making 11x14 color film any longer. I managed to
score 26 boxes of Ektachrome 100 (2001) and 12 of Fujichrome 64T (1997)
which should keep me in film for awhile.

There's still plenty of variety in 8x10, even color negative, but with
the increasing popularity of digital it won't be long before even that
format is discontinued. Doug Herr has indicated that he has a freezer
full of Kodachrome for his Leica R work.

So, buy a lot now and freeze it.
