I can't help you with the cabling on a Nikon LS2000, having a 
firewire 4000 myself, but if you want a SCSI card, I can give you one 
for free (+ price of postage = ? $4?). I believe it's an adaptec.

Anyway, I've moved to firewire and have no need of it. It uses a 
high-density connector about 1.5 long.
